Jon began his professional career after making the transition from a Division I college athlete competing in the decathlon, a track and field event that includes ten run, jump, and throwing events over two days. Rather than working towards the Olympic Trials, Jon pivoted his Track and Field career to focus on his studies and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Jon graduated with honors, earning his bachelor’s degree in business communications & public relations Cum Laude from Utah Valley University.

Jon was one of the top professional public relations student leaders. He was voted and awarded the vice president chair of membership services for the student-run leadership organization the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), as well as awarded the Golden Key leadership award and the President's Citation award.
